TO HOST NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN WINNIPEG

July 13 - 15, 2006

Unum Cum Virtute Multorum – One with the Strength of Many

It is our pleasure to invite you to beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba for the 2006 Annual National Conference of the Schizophrenia Society of Canada. Hosted by the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society, this year’s conference will take place from July 13 to 15.

As the City of Winnipeg’s motto denotes, our annual conference is an opportunity for individuals to come together and gain strength, information and inspiration from one another.

Our conference themes are resiliency and recovery. In addition to clinical and medical updates, our sessions this year will focus attention on the equally important principles of holistic treatment, recovery and empowerment.

If you or a family member is impacted by mental illness, if you work with consumers and family members or if you are a member of the public at large who has an interest in the Canadian mental health system, this conference has valuable information to offer.

Some 400 delegates -- including consumers, family members, medical and health professionals, front line workers and researchers -- will come together in workshops and discussion to share knowledge, experience, skills and strategies.

So mark your calendars and plan to join us for our Celebration of Recovery! Let’s hear, share and learn together so that we can work to improve the quality of life for everyone affected by mental illness.

We look forward to seeing you in Winnipeg this July!
